ABOUT US

 

Emily Whitman is owner and event director of events by emily.  She guides each individual client from the conceptualization process all the way through event execution. Whether it is an over-the-top gala or a simple milestone celebration, Emily approaches each affair with original ideas that give partygoers a unique and entertaining experience. She is extremely detail oriented, ensuring that venues and vendors are always in sync and events run flawlessly.

 

Karen Hersh is the creative director of events by emily. She works closely with clients in the early planning stages to help bring their visions to reality. Karen's expertise with design software allows her to provide various logo and decor elements to satisfy all types of client needs.

 

Frannie Lanel is lead graphic designer/ event branding of events by emily.  She joins the group with many years of experience after owning a prominent invitation store that catered directly to a party-planning clientele. Frannie will assist the team in all elements of their signature events.

"Emily and Karen,  I wanted to thank you for all your help with Frank's party.  It was a huge success.  Everything was perfect and my guests were all raving about everything. Frank kept asking me over the weekend...where did you get X, how did you arrange X, did my friends help you? etc...and I kept saying, Emily and Karen did it.  Everything was so easy and smooth (w/the obvious exception of the hurricane!) from the seamlessness of the invitations going out to the actual set up of the backyard (which looked amazing).  Your vendors were fantastic.  Brian was amazing, all my friends were super impressed with the slight of hand, tattoos were a big hit and everyone took home Andy Warhol photos. "This weekend from start to finish was AMAZING!!!!  You both made planning and executing Zach's Bar Mitzvah such a fun and exciting adventure.  All 5 of us were absolutely "wowed" when we walked into the Sports Academy last night. The transformation was unbelievable.  I've been getting phone calls, emails and texts all day from friends and family complementing us on a terrific party.  You both went the extra mile on the "final touches" that I so appreciated.  From the decor, food, centerpieces and extras - it was the perfect party - plus I loved working with you both."

Ladies- We don't even know where to start to thank you.....From the moment we walked into the temple, we were amazed!!! It was beautiful, incredible and you did not leave a detail out!!  WE loved the book, envelope box and the clothes line looked awesome!!!  the cocktail napkins were so fun-Hannah loved them!!!  the ballroom.........unbelievable!!!!! we loved all of it-the ceiling looked amazing, the kids centerpieces were amazing-they are all in the house and keep looking at all the little final touches on it.  the adult centerpieces were perfect-simple and elegant!!! hmmm...did I forget anything ??:)  we could not have done it without you-thanks for making such a special day look amazing!!!!!!! we will talk to you soon-remember, Jordan is Feb 7, 2015!!!!!
